Pick one — that's who writes to your kid every month. Each has their own voice, world, and way of seeing things.

• Fairy

  Mira of the Moonlit Mushrooms

  A tiny forest fairy who lives in a ring of pearl-grey mushrooms and writes by firefly-light. Quiet, observant, never sparkly.

• Naturalist

  Juno the Junior Naturalist

  A bright kid who runs a field office out of her treehouse. Sketches everything, knows the names of birds, sends real field reports.

• Gentle cryptid

  Birch the Backyard Bigfoot

  A small, shy young Bigfoot who lives in the woods past where the houses end. He watches, he wonders, and he writes carefully.

• Space explorer

  Captain Comet & the SS Biscuit

  A small, goofy-brave space pilot in a soup-can rocket. Reports from somewhere past the moon, usually mid-malfunction.
